AI assistant for e-commerce: install without registering
How to install Rivadesk on WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento or Shopify without creating an account first: what happens when you install, where you pay, and what to do if the store is on another platform.
- E-commerce
- Installation
If your store runs on WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento or Shopify, you do not create the account first. The install does, together with the widget. You do not paste a snippet, and you do not enter a card to get started. The first conversations each month are included.
What happens when you install
Open Get started and pick the platform. The steps are on that platform's page.
On WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Magento you download a zip without signing in to Rivadesk. You install it on the store: the account and widget are created for you. On WooCommerce and PrestaShop the chat appears on the storefront after you activate it. On Magento you install from the terminal, as the guide describes: you do not write code, you run the commands listed there. If you do not use the shell, forward that page to whoever runs the store.
On Shopify there is no zip. From the Shopify App Store you install Rivadesk AI Chat, approve the permissions and the app opens in the admin: the account and agent are created for you. Then you turn the chat on from the theme, in App embeds.
The store's catalog and orders become the context for replies. Afterwards, if you need to, you enrich the knowledge: return policies, FAQs, documents. You can also set a spending cap: a limit you choose, which stops the assistant when you reach it. It is not the invoice threshold.
The four platforms
- WooCommerce: the official plugin. You upload it in WordPress and activate it.
- PrestaShop: the official module. You upload it from the back office.
- Magento: the official module for Magento 2, from the terminal.
- Shopify: the official app, from the Shopify App Store.
What it costs and where you pay
While you stay inside the first conversations included each month, you pay nothing. Where the bill goes depends on where you installed.
Shopify. Past that allowance, the assistant replies only after you approve the Shopify subscription with the cap you choose. Until you approve it, the assistant waits and does not reply past the allowance. You pay on the Shopify bill.
WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Magento. The invoice is from Rivadesk: it arrives at the end of the month, or sooner when usage reaches the threshold. Today that threshold is €200. You pay it with a secure link (Stripe), and no card is stored. If unpaid invoices go over the tolerance, the chat pauses until you settle them. Today that tolerance is €100.
The threshold and the tolerance are about when the invoice is issued and about invoices still unpaid. The spending cap you set yourself is a separate control. The details stay on Pricing.
If the store is not on these platforms
On Get started, under the four platform cards, there is a fifth card: Another site, or no online store. From there you register and connect a snippet on the site yourself, or a hosted chat page. There is no plugin to install: the account is not created for you.
In short
On the four platforms you start from the install, without registering first. On any other site you start from registration and the snippet. In both cases the first conversations of the month are included, and you know in advance where the invoice will go.
